Cam grew up in Bellingham, WA before moving to Portland in 2010. He is the youngest of 3 and has an Australian Cattle Dog named Albert Woodchip (5 yrs old). Cam's initial love for dogs began with his family dog Hooter. Cam has a love and passion for dogs and finds that working with them is a privilege, especially after taking a 2 year hiatus and returning to Ruby's this year.
Angelina grew up in Texas where to her mother's dismay, she brought home each stray dog she found. Her love of animals has led her to live a vegan lifestyle. She moved to Portland and worked at a handful of dog daycares before making it to Ruby's. She loves to help young dogs learn the ropes of well-mannered play and works with socialization and leash-training. She looks forward to one day running her own dog daycare and rescue.
Lindy was raised by wolves in the mountains, sort of. She is from snowy Mt. Shasta and grew up with dogs as both family and friends. Shortly after moving to Portland, Lindy adopted her best pal Macy-Moo, a silly, shy boy from the Kauai Animal Welfare Society. Together they love to go on hikes, dig in the garden, and snooze in the sun when they can find it! Lindy and Macy-Moo love coming to work at Ruby’s because the team creates a fun consistent environment for all of their dog friends to be their best selves.
Madeline was born and raised in Portland, Oregon and dove head first into the dog world in 2006, where she worked as a daycare attendant and training assistant for Happy Go Lucky.
In 2007 she took over the daycare and ran it with her husband Martin until 2016. She developed a great passion for working with fearful and special needs dogs, and was able to apply her skills both on the daycare floor and during socialization sessions. Eventually the demand for socialization appointments became so great that she decided to step down from running the daycare to focus entirely on these sessions.
She was lucky enough to have her fellow team member and dear friend Ayesha to pass the daycare off to. In addition to conducting one-on-one appointments specializing in dog to dog socialization, leash reactivity, and fear issues, she still gets to spend time with her beloved daycare dogs. She owes much of her success to her partner Tinga Taco, the beautiful husky shepherd who has been by her side since 2008 and has helped countless dogs break out of their shell with her gentle demeanor and excellent work ethic.
